Welcome to Cedar Hills… would you like a tour of Cedar Hills from a child's point of view…simply click the link below to see the video. A group of fifth grade students want to share their school with you using a Photo Story Virtual Tour . This is an excellent resource for new families as they transition to their new school. We hope you enjoy the tour!

New Parents...we would like to invite you to the annual "New Family Coffee with the Principal" on Friday, September 10 @ 9am in the dining room.  This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about your new school, meet your PTO presidents, and connect with other new families.  We hope to see you there.

Please remember to make your donation to "Take Stock in Cedar Hills".  "Take Stock" is our once-a-year campaign that has eliminated selling-based fundraising by our kids.  Instead of having our kids selling products (eg, trash bags, gift wrapping, etc) door to door, we ask each family to make a donation.  These donations fund such programs as field trips, classroom tools, competitions, after school clubs, summer library, etc.  The minimum requested donation is $60 per family.  For those who are able to donate more, we will also have special recognition for Benefactors ($100+), Friends of Cedar Hills ($250+), and Corporate Sponsors ($500+).  For more details, please feel free to contact any PTO member.  And to further support "Take Stock", we will have a number of silent auction items throughout the year.

Have you seen the Back to School edition of the PTO Parent Newsletter? Check it out by clicking PTO Newsletter.

Be sure to read the 2010-11 Parent Handbook for important school information...it is just a click away under Forms and Documents.

Our first early dismissal is set for Tuesday, August 31. The remaining 12 early dismissal dates can be found in the CHE calendar.

Just a heads up...Halloween Parade and Parties...due to the scheduling of Parent-Teacher conferences and Halloween, we will be having our all school parade and classroom parties on Friday, October 22 @ 2p

  IMPORTANT...IMPORTANT...IMPORTANT...IMPORTANT...IMPORTANT...IMPORTANT...

Thank you for your support in the "peanut product safer learning environment " in all of our classrooms/learning areas.  With ever increasing number of individuals with life threatening allergies I greatly appreciate your cooperation of this very important approach. Please make note of the updated listing for the 2010-11 school year. Part of this proactive plan is to limit the consumption of peanut products in classrooms.  This peanut product elimination will go beyond healthy type snacks (peanut butter crackers) to include birthday treats and food products enjoyed at the three classroom parties. We will continue to serve peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in our dining room and a "sack lunch" could certainly include products restricted in classrooms.  There will continue to be a "peanut safer" lunch table available to all children. This listing will also be used for the three designated classroom parties.  In an effort to protect all children and to continue to have safety as our number one priority, only items from the listing will be accepted for distribution at school.  Although it would be impossible to guarantee a totally peanut free environment, with support and effort we can make additional strides in making all children safe while at Cedar Hills.  Thank you for your understanding of this very important matter. The complete listing of food products can be found under "Forms and Documents".
