OTMS Wins 2010 Governor’s Award

We have some VERY exciting news!!  Overland Trail Middle School has earned the 2010 Governor's Award.  This award is a very difficult award to receive.  There were eleven middle schools that received this award across the state of Kansas, and OTMS was one of the schools. This is based on the reading/math state assessment scores, making Standard of Excellence in every category, making AYP as a building but also making AYP in every sub group.  This is very difficult to make when you are a large school as we are. Here is a perfect example.  Blue Valley North and Blue Valley High School also received this award with well over 1000 students in their high school, and the next high school in the state of Kansas that received this award had 200 students.  We are so proud of our students and staff. Please see the smile box when we were able to surprise our staff.  We will be having a donut party of our students.
